East Brent Pre-School was founded for the benefit of the village children and our reputation attracts children from surrounding villages and towns. We are run as a charity and all parents are welcome to attend our meetings and play an active part if they wish.

We pride ourselves on being a small group with dedicated staff, able to provide the time and attention each child requires, in a quiet setting.

The Pre School runs from 9.00AM to 1.00PM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in East Brent Village Hall, Closed Wednesday. Fridays from 9.00AM until 3.00PM at East Brent CofE First School. This close link with the village school has helped all of the children going on to the First School to settle in well as they already know the setting, and some of the staff and older children.

Our hours are structured so that when a child is in receipt of funding, our sessions are fully funded and no extra payment is required.

Each session includes an element of craft, free-play, outside play (weather permitting), and a story. A morning snack is provided. Each week is themed and our activities revolve around that theme.

We are registered to take children from the age of two, although each child is different and we like to work closely with parents to ensure that a child is settling in well and not getting overly tired. We generally find two and a quarter is an ideal starting age, as language and communication skills develop so dramatically from the age of two.
